So im over this connect battery life(love the phone tho) but looking to get something a lil bigger. What do you think is a good upgrade and which phone is better.. I know the S3 has a better cam yes, and it's a few hundred bucks more, but do you think it's really worth it opposed to the spirit? I've heard good things about the spirit, but I wanna know how good it is compared to the S3. Let's here some feedback ppl...

Do me favor and don't move this thread either. I'd rather have my fellow connect users reply to use as I get no views or replies in the other thread my last post got moved to.

From what I've seen on both forums on both devices the sg3 has all kinds of stuff already like root/cwm/kernels/rom/tweeks but is a lil laggy. Which seems to be the only complaint I've read about, but its also rumored to be getting a jb update in the near future.

The spirit on the other hand has zero root (locked bootloader) which is currently being worked on by issac from back in the ascend days and a few others but no luck yet. Although the community over there are completely satisfied with the spirit other than no root. Users coming from the connect say its a breath of fresh air for an upgrade in comparison. I too shall be jumping on the spirit wagon as well but I think I'm gonna wait for a lil bit and see when/if they can get root. Although the spirit community say that the spirit handles the Metro bloat very well, I'm not to found of it.

I just jumped in to mention that although other carriers SG3's will get jb, metro does not do updates and in fact makes sure that they don't happen from what ive heard. I could be wrong but look at the connect and ics, never happened and never will. I bet you could just wait till someone makes a rom for it based on jb but an official update metro phones will not have.

S3 has lag? Im a fan of rooting obviously but doesnt ot come 1.5ghz stock? Why spees it up more anyways? Is it laggy stock too?

From what I read on their side of a.f. yes its laggy out the box. Which is big bummer if you ask me for a $500 device.

Hell yea thats a bummer! I paid almoat 5 bills for this connect and im not about to pay another 5 for a laggy phone. Ill probs end up getting the spirit since it seems others have no complaints. I can hold off on the root... Even tho my connect is rooted, all I did was speed it up a lil but still stock rom so I haven't done too much with root anyways

I posted a thread in the spirit forum asking questions, and from their responses it looks like I'm gonna be getting the spirit asap. I've gotten word that the mir promo only lasts until March 3rd. So if you're looking to jump on the spirit and get that $70 back you might wanna jump on that very soon. Also if you buy it on wirefly it's actually $61 cheaper otd as opposed to buying it at a Metro store but it takes a week to get it in the mail.

I cant get my lg connect to go in clockworkmod if I could then I could fix it .
