Lg Connect Extended Battery Vs Esteems?

Hey Guys, I was wondering on your thoughts on your extended batterys. From what Ive heard and seen, the slim extended batterys are somewhat unreliable and the nonslim ones are REALLY thick. I like the slimness of the phone at the moment, but need more battery life. I really like the style of the extended battery on the esteem. There are a couple of phones out there that have that style. Is there a term to call that type of extended battery? Also on another note, do you think they will release extended batterys like the esteems for the Lg connect?

P.S. Did metropcs even officially release their own extended battery for the Lg connect? I hope it's like the esteems...
 
MetroPCs doesn't have an extended battery for the LG Connect Yet.

I saw the Esteem's extended battery cover and it looks the same as the Connect's Extended Battery..

Personally, I'd hate the bulkiness of an extended battery. It wouldn't even fit in my pocket and there aren't many (if any) cases for it... I just bought 2 slim batteries so I can just replace them if one runs out. However, I don't know about the reliability of slim batteries.. But for 2 slims + a charger at only $15 might as well give it a try.
 
The esteems extended battery adds thickness to one part of the back, the back middle where it is normally held. The lg connects extended battery adds thickness to the entire back.
