Root LG Esteem cpu usage often high

Hey guys! For some reason, when my LG Esteem [currently using custom ROM Number #2 on zvd] is on idle, sometimes it will start lagging a lot and I find out that the cpu is at 100% and below 90mb of RAM available. When looking through the running services, google maps, my keyboard, facebook, go sms, settings, setcpu, and then services like Google services, DRM service, and com.android.DunServer. Whats weird is that usually, when i open certain apps like facebook, amazon appstore, or google play, and then force close them, they are the ones taking up between 70 to 90% of the cpu usage. Its weird because im not logged into facebook, and not using google play or amazon appstore. So why are they automatically running and taking up all my cpu using and lagging my phone and how can I stop them from just randomly starting?

You can try one of these two app from the GPlay to change perrmissions on each apps autorun settings:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox&hl=en
OR
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.seasmind.android.gmappmgr&hl=en
Moving you over to the root side as well:)

yea I have rom toolbox lite but there are many different receivers for each app and Im not sure which ones i can disable without effecting the app itself. And with the different boot receiver types [i.e. pre-boot, boot completed, connectivity changed, batt low, batt okay, etc etc] It just confuses me as to which of these I can disable and which I can't or shouldn't.

I had the same problem and I just disabled all receivers on the app that was giving me problems. That works fine for me and when I open it if I do need it like google maps it works fine.
The only one that will not run is youtube, if you have that, if you change any permissions it will hang when you try to run it. I had to uninstall and reinstall it for it to work. Also, Google maps will stay running no matter what once you open it, the only way around this is to restart your phone after you're done using it, then it won't auto start.
I also noticed that using ROM Toolbox I have to disable all receivers for one app, exit toolbox then open it again and repeat for each app for the changes to stick. Hope this helps you.
