Root lg esteem download speed about 300 kbs...

My esteem used to download way faster but now it only gets about a few hundred kbs..can someone tell me why plzz...thanks. greatly appreciated.. first time postin but ive been coming here for a few months now so I kinda get some of wat goes down..I have an rooted lg esteem runnin (#2)v2.5.4.....and speedtest.net says im getn 2.34mbps..im confused

That's a quite sufficient speed...

It never actually download at the speed that it says on speedtest. Mines does the same as yours. the fastest I ever got was like 1mb.

Lol, when you are downloading something the downloading process normally reads the speed by Kylobits not kilobytes.

Remember, 8 kilobytes = 1 kilobits.

So that's why you might see a huge different on the results you get on speed test and the downloading speed.

So to make this clearer. You say your avg download speed its 2.33mbps or 2,330 kilobytes.

New let's divide this speed by 8 to get the speed shown when you are downloading something.

Soo 2,330 / 8 = 291 . So 291Kbps would be the average speed that you are going to download something.

Btw, if you want to refresh your network, just put your phone on airplane mode then turn it off. The network will reset.
