What I'm trying to say is that updating while twrp is intalled is bad? Because I have done this before and twrp seemed to flash the update its self then put me on a boot loop to twrp.

No definitive answer. If your phone is rooted (and custom recovery), you are not supposed to flash the OTA. It could:
1. Brick your phone (Stylos are hard to brick permanently)
2. Lose root
3. Lose root and recovery/TWRP
4. Boot loop
5. Make your phone act inconsistent.
6. Who knows what else
Each phone is different so do so at your own risk.
Nope. You run a good chance of bricking using the ota method of updating . twrp is a custom recovery . it is not for flashing stock factory firmware . the new flashing tool is LG Up . it installs factory kdz firmware on a phone that requires unbricking or changing a devices installed firmware version .
Either way you will lose root and have to set it up again.
