LG G2 for Boost Mobile. Can I root and flash roms to it?

If you mean the LG Realm (LG LS620)
You can root it (I used towel root)
You can install xposed framework.
TWRP Works for the recovery.

I still don't think there are any ROMs that have been ported yet.

The LS620 and the L70 (metro) are very very similar. But I am wary to risk bricking my phone just to see if the L70 CM11 works lol

Nope, I have the LS980 phone for Boost Mobile. Bought it at a Boost Mobile store and has all the boost features and whatnot.

:(

How much was the phone, if you don't mind. I'm thinking of joining Boost. I don't like the selection of phones they have on the website, but understand that this phone, LG G2 still works on that network. I've heard some of the Sprint Models of this phone work on Boost, but I am not sure how that all works.

Exact same phone. Boost will activate the Sprint version.

I bought an LG G2 from a friend who had tajen out the UICC (sim) card, apparently Boost cant reprogram UICC cards from other devices so my LTE isn't working. So after dealing with "technical" support I have a LS980 compatible UICC in the mail. Hope this sorts out the LTE. So just a word to the wise. If buying a used one make sure it has the sim.

Where can I find the xposed framework for LG LS620? Thanks Frankie iv! :)

G3 and Flex 2 are now available on Boost's website for under 400.00 both still have solid specifications.
Just got the G3 to replace my G2. G2 is great but G3 is better. Price is twice that of a Sprint G3. I assume Boost will eventually add it to the list.

I have a Sprint LG G2 LS980 in the mail that I plan on activating to boost. This thread really has gone un answered..any one know of which root method or if a recovery or rom exists for boost? Also, I'm assuming it will need to work for what ever the newest update it will receive via OTA

I bought an LG G2 off of EBay and activated it on Boost. No Rooting. But, 1, it began to take upgrade OTA right away the moment I turned it on, before moving it to Boost network. 2, there is a website that had several ways to root. It is on my computer at home so will have to post later.

Yeah, I wanted to get the latest update (marshmello?) before trying to root it. So were you able to root/add recovery after all the updates were done and it was on boost?

Okay, so I now have my Sprint LG G2 on boost and fully updated with OTA so its at LS980 ZVI. At first I thought I would have to tot update back to ZVG to root but apparently Kingroot ( downloaded from their website ) is able to root it. I have removed bloat ware and so will just stay with the stock ZVI rom since all roms I'm finding are for Sprint and I don't feel like having network setting issues while flashing.

edit.. I ended up using SuperSU-ME from the app store to remove King root and put SuperSU in it's place.. I didn't like how King root has background processes that was pinging their servers

I have an LG G2 (LS980) from sprint that is ported to the boost network as well. There are roms for this phone under the sprint label, but for some reason when you use the roms while on the boost network, you get calls and texts, but no data (4G LTE, 3G etc.). I used the crdroid rom for the LS980, which is basically stock Marshmallow and unfortunately got no data after flashing. Has anybody found a way to get roms working properly on boost?
