LG G2 LS980 BOOT LOOP

My G2 is stuck in a boot loop. It wasn't dropped or anything, it just stopped working. It won't power on long enough to try any of the Pwr/Vol+/Vol- combinations. Also if I charged it to 100% then turned it off I would lose +15% overnight. Since Im unable to connect to a PC is simply replacing the motherboard and flex cable a viable option?

If the motherboard is the issue then yes it's an option. It could also be that the battery is going bad and that'd likely be a cheaper fix. If you do that, a word of warning to get a true, OEM replacement battery and be prepared for some difficulty when removing the old one. The adhesive holding them in is very strong.

Thanks. The battery is definitely bad. It's swollen and has an acidic odor.
