LG G2X T-Mobile HDMI - Screen cut off

Does anyone know why when I connect my LG G2X (T-mobile) to my TV via HDMI, the screen is cut off on the top and bottom? This happens in portrait and landscape mode, and while my HDTV supports all resolutions up to 1080p (I have tried them all), it's the same result. I didn't see any option on my LG G2X for undercan/overscan, nor any zoom feature.

Any ideas?

By the way, none of my other HDMI devices have this issue (ps3, xbox 360).

Most HD TVs cut off the edge of pictures to prevent you from seeing the edge of a video which can sometimes show noise. Or the frame of the tv hangs slightly over the screen creating the same effect. Your xbox and ps3 probably suffer from the same issue, you just can't tell since the menus don't start at the exact edge like your phone does. That's why some games allow you to adjust the picture size and it's relation to the edge of your tv so you don't lose any of the picture.

My phone does the same thing on the TVs in my house but when i connect it to my computer monitor, the picture is fine.

I got this phone because it had gaming capability and HDMI, but it really annoys me that you can't change the overscan issue for HDMI. However, if I change the resolution to 480p, the whole phone picture fits on the TV, but it's not as sharp, and it's stretched wider.
