LG G3 or Wait for Galaxy Note 4?

Hello,

This summer, my family is switching carriers and we're going to be getting new phones. If I get a phone this summer, I've decided it should be the G3 (not released in US yet, but July release date is probable). However, I also am considering waiting an extra month or two for the Galaxy Note 4, since it's rumored to have the Snapdragon 805. My current phone is the Galaxy S2 (old, I know). What should I do: should I wait and get the possibly better phone or go ahead and get the G3?

Any input would be appreciated.

I have moved this thread to the Device/Carrier Companion thread as you are comparing two devices :)

Personally I love my Note 3 and would be ecstatic to get the Note 4, there are a bunch of features that make this phone great, plus I actually use the pen a lot which in itself has a decent amount of features.

Honestly, the G2 is a great phone but those back buttons throw me off every time lol :confused:
 
Okay Chicago I decided to put a little more time into this.

Here is a prerumor and speculation thread for each device:

It also is going to depend if you are into rooting your device or not. Currently at the moment the Note 3 is on 4.4.2 and it is impossible to root, as far as I know right now. I rooted it on 4.3, so who knows what the capabilities of root will be with the Note 4. The LG G2 and probably G3 are fairly easy to root and have plenty of custom ROMs, unlike the Note 3

I will say though, that the S-Pen is a great addition to the device. It has plenty of functionality and creates for a nice piece of hardware when you are on the go and just want to write something into your phone, not type it. I mean you can type in addresses, names, phone numbers, emails, etc and you can look these up or add them to your contact list directly from the notepad you wrote on.

Both devices have a kind of Multi-app ability. G2 has the QSlide 2.0, while the Note 3 allows you to use multi-window. QSlide overlays apps on top of one another and allows you to switch between them seamlessly (as far as I understand it). Multi-window on the other hand is exactly what it sounds like, it just allows you to have multiple apps open on the screen at once.

If battery life is a concern I know the Note 3 has a fantastic stock battery. I am usually a light/medium user, but sometimes I have had 4+ hours of screen time and it's still going! My typical usage with 2 hours of screen time is at least a day if not more.

The G2, I really don't have that much information on it, but I would assume it's pretty standard, haven't heard anything too special about it.
