Help LG G3 Water Damage

So last week I was trying to get my lg g3 returned under warranty for a new lg g3 because of various issues like overheating and battery drain. I tried several factory resets and nothing ever helped, so verizon determined the phone needed to be replaced. Well the over the weekend before I called to get my phone replaced it fell out of m pocket into some water and now how irreversible water damage. Pretty terrible luck and now there are a lot more issues because of the water damage but really I am not sure what to do next. Verizon only replaces water damaged phones if you bought the insurance which I didnt another bad mistake. So how should I go about getting a new phone. I would like another g3 without the bugs that mine has had, but I don't think verizon will take my phone.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated

If you had an open ticket w/the original issues,they may still replace your phone based on that.
