Help LG G3 WiFi Strangeness

So I'm on the latest Lollipop, and I've noticed that while my wifi does connect at home, work, and other remembered wifi areas I frequent, my phone gets all its updates when I get away from wifi. For instance, every morning when I drive away from my house to head to work (and away from my home wifi), my phone updates like crazy (Twitter, SportsCenter score updates, news updates/pushes). The same thing happens at work, where it looks like I'm connected, then as I leave away from that wifi, my phone gives me all my updates. Very frustrating, anybody else experience this???
 
Check ur updates...ever since Lollipop update there's been issues with notifications on Wi-Fi for the Verizon G3. The new update that came out yesterday seems to have taken care of the problem.
 
Yes, I did get the software update yesterday and it actually does seem much better! I've gotten SportsCenter and Twitter updates and even Chrome loads much faster. I'll see how it goes today when I leave the house :0

UPDATE: I've left several "remembered" wifi areas and have stopped getting the bombardment of all updates, and I have also been getting the updates when I'm supposed to (pushed) so I really do believe this latest Verizon update has fixed the issue.
