Hi,
I've had my LG G4 for about a half a year now. I ordered it online, but it came in its original packaging and hadn't been touched. It had been mostly okay, but my one concern was always the battery -- the phone lost battery super fast, and very quickly stopped taking charge from the cable it came with. I had to repeatedly get new cables as the phone would stop getting charge from certain cables after being charged with them for a few months.
Recently I was using the phone totally normally with an 85% battery and I turned it off for a second. When I double tapped the screen to turn it back on it wouldn't turn on, and I quickly realized that it had powered off. I held the back button down for 30 seconds, removed the battery and inspected the connections countless times, and plugged the phone into multiple outlets. The thing is totally bricked.
I was hoping there was anything I could do short of buying a new phone. I could buy a new battery but there's only a chance that would work and otherwise it would be a waste of money, because I'm probably not buying another android after this experience.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Joseph
UPDATE: I took the battery out, cleaned the connections thoroughly and ran some tests on the battery without any conclusion. When I put the battery back in the phone buzzed and displayed the LG logo for about 30 seconds as if it was about to turn on, then powered off again and won't turn back on.
