LG G4 - Forgot Backup PIN

Hello all,

Kindly requesting your assistance on the below.

I have an LG G4 which is requesting for back up pin. I don't seem to remember inputting one and I'm looking for a way to gain access to the phone. I've used the below methods with no success:

1. Manual Method
I've tried all the number combinations that I have in my head with no success. (Can anyone confirm the number of characters the backup pin has? All my combinations are four digit codes)

2. Find My Device
I've tried to use "Find My Device" to unlock it but I only get the following functions

• I can locate the phone on the maps
• I can make the phone ring
• I can lock the phone and put any phrase I want on it (Why is there no option available for unlocking?)
• I see the option to erase the device but I don't want try that because I will lose the data on the phone.

3. Dr.Fone
I've tried dr.phone which although it matches my phone model successfully, it gives me an error that "Install model failed"

Is there any other way possible to regain access to the phone. Appreciate your assistance.

if you do not know your pin then you will have to do a factory reset. hopefully you remember your email and password for your google acct. if you do then you should be fine. if you don't then it is super hard to break the frp (factory reset protection) once, it has been tripped.

so before doing a factory reset, make sure that you have that information and then go ahead and reset it.

Me too..didn't know about a backup PIN till the phone locked up. My 4 yr old niece was playing with the phone and she tried the pattern lock too many times. I wish it could even give me the pattern lock to try but it seems to only ask for the backup PIN.

Thanks...I have my google account password, I even know the pattern lock for the phone only that I cannot access the same. Is there any other software I can try before I decide on the factory reset? Really do not want to lose all the data in there.

According to some sites, if you attempt 5 times it should offer the Google log in instead. Did that not work?

Also if you had a third party security app that won't work.

I don't know if Skysoft still works.
