Lg g5 not formatting as internal

Lurker
I have an LG g5 I just got (again) and I keep searching online if you can store apps on an sd card for it but just get the generic answer. Go to format, format as internal. But it doesn't give me that option. It only takes me to format as portable storage. Was wondering if anyone has a fix or a little more knowledge. It's a tmobile LG g5 in gold with a 32gb samsung class 10 micro as card.

LG may not have included it in the first release of the G5. Have you upgraded your firmware to Nougat? (Android 7.x)

Yep fully up to date.i new it wasn't able to when It came out but I solidly remember it coming back later before I got rid of my last one

I don't think LG support that option at all (nor to Samsung).

I imagine you can do the old style "move to SD" (Settings > Apps, select a user-installed app and look for a button to move it. Pre-installed apps cannot be moved. User-installed apps can only be moved if the developer allows/supports it). That only moves part of the app, but most manufacturers retained it after Google dropped it in 4.0.something.
