Hi,

im trying to unlock the bootloeader of my lg g7, im follwing this steps here

https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...y-g7-thinq-except-g710tm-with-photos.4168771/

but now im stuck in the step 19 when i type fastboot oem unlock i can get 3 results

FAILED (remote: 'unknown command')
FAILED (remote: ' Set device unlocked! failed: 00000050')
FAILED (remote: ' Device already : unlocked!') (it says its unlocked but in my screen it show that is locked)

"fastboot devices" works, it shows my device
"fastboot oem device-info" also works, it shows:

(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
OKAY [ 0.005s]
Finished. Total time: 0.005s

fastboot oem device-id: doesnt work
fastboot oem unlock: doesnt work

btw, this tutorial of xda developers is the same of this youtuber here

my device model is g710emw

can somebody help me with this?

can you post the entire command and it's output?

here, 3 attempts, you can see the results

the waiting for device appeared because the device wasn't connected when i typed the command.

your last ccommand entry seemed close to what it says in the guide:
if it says "unknown command" try using USB 2.0, if still persists try to use the command multiple times, in the end it should say "erasing userdata ... " ;

try using usb 2.0 and keep trying

well, i disconnected my printer and speaker to use another usb 2.0 port, in the speaker port, im having this response

FAILED (Write to device failed (no link))
fastboot: error: Command failed

anyway, still doesnt work.

edit

this message is shown even if you disconnect the phone, seems like a bug, it was needed to restart the pc for this message stop to show up

Yes, im back,

its been a few weeks trying to solve this but finally got a solution

here is what i did

execute the fastboot oem unlock with the unplugged phone

the prompt will show <waiting for any device>

restart your phone using the "Restart Bootloader", right after the screen turn black, plug the phone on usb 2.0
and it will work, at least worked for me.
