Root LG L70 Tips and Tricks [Video Guides]

I'm trying to upload Aboot fixing but Youtube is deciding not to upload a 1gb file right now, sorry guys :( ill try later

OK, successfully flashed aboot and now reboot to recovery with quickboot works! Now backing up and trying to flash cyagen 12.1 from here:
http://androidforums.com/threads/un...12-1-for-lg-l70-d320-d320n-d325-ms323.912225/
I'm going with these gapps:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934556652
are they okay?!
And I'm using PhilZ. If I should do something differently pls tell me before I brick my phone or something (d320n).
It's better to use TWRP. That's the only thing.

It's working! Thanks for all your help! I'm so happy :')
BUT, please use twrp for flashing. Most scripts which are run on install/postinstall on our roms are written to be fully compatible with openrecovery recoveries (read TWRP). You may flash roms with CWM/Phillz, but they are known to cause problems like non working buttons, because of the aforementioned scripts. That's why vm03 and I urge users to use TWRP.

Yea, I used TWRP. Cyanogenmod 12.1 is working great for now. Thanks! Hvala Zlajo!

OK. So I used TWRP to backup everything in my phone onto a newly brought SD card, and afterwards it erased the ability for it (the SD card) to be able to read/write while inside my phone, but it works fine in an adapter. Any reason why? (MS323)

You know what? Nevermind. It's not that big of an issue. I'll just get another SD card and make sure I don't use TWRP to backup. Just a fair warning, do not fully backup your phone, you may just have the same issue.

TWRP versions favoring an SD card - ok, that bug has happened but it's been few and far between on the phones I've used and helped out on - and I haven't seen that in a long while.

What I have seen a lot of are counterfeit cards - check your new ones, no exceptions.

Thanks and yeah it was a counterfeit card. But that's what happens when you buy stuff like that at a metro store in the hood.

I have a problem with CM12.1 on my d320n. Sometimes when i turn off wifi and turn on mobile data it doesn't really turn on, and i can't connect to the internet. I have to restart my phone and then it connects. Is there a way to solve this or am I stuck with this?
Also, insignificant problem - when i have autorotate on, the image will rotate to landscape but won't return to portrait. I have to turn it off, then on again, or go to my home screen. Another thing is that the location option in my status bar (or whatever its called) sometimes disappears and then it comes back somehow.
Maybe this question is for the CM thread...

Since I see way to many people asking the most simple questions. I decided to make a video series on all of the things we can do with the L70, from installing ROM's to unbricking the phone.

Please note this is going to be done in my free time and will probably start uploading more in Summer since I'm still in school

Part 1: Installing Drivers

Part 2: Root

Part 3: Bootloader Unlock

Part 4: Recovery & Backing Up

Part 5: Installing a ROM

-Extra Episodes-

Part 6: Restoring Download Mode and Restoring to Stock

Part 7: Aboot Fixing

Part 8: SystemUI Force Closing & Fix

Hi, I would like to know how to get all KingRoot files off my phone since Root Checker says phone is not rooted after running KingRoot. Once I get the phone back to the way it was (if possible), I want to further understand ALL of the ramifications of rooting as currently I don't understand much and this has been a huge pita. The phone appears to be working as it always has so far but I've read things now about KingRoot and rooting in general, things like your phone not getting updated anymore from the carrier and stuff. Who wants their phone to not be updated? I have enough problems. I should have researched this further before I went and did this. I am a total noob with smartphones but I've learned a lot over the last couple of day, one being, don't install KingRoot on my phone again, ever! It's all I need is to be hacked by people's republic of China. haha
