I'm getting my LG L9 rooted Wednesday I can't stand this new jelly bean update its horrible. First YouTube was really slow it buffered every 2 minutes when I have unlimited 4G and then Google maps app would not allow me to enable access went through T-Mobile customer support, LG and Google support its pathetic can't wait till this is done then I'll be much happier hopefully

My youtube and google maps are working fine since the update. I use youtube on wifi more than 4g but the times I have had to use it in on 4g in the car it worked perfect and no buffering. Hope the root solves your problem. Mary

Post back if it works. I have no need to root mine. It works fine and I can't afford to have it screwed up since I have no home phone so this is my main phone and hopefully won't have to invest in another phone for a few years. Mary

Well one attempt and the guy couldn't get pass something on it I don't think he knew what he was doing anyways

Did you do a factory reset after the update? I read here or on the T-Mobile forums you were supposed to do that after. I didn't and still don't have any trouble but that is supposed to fix the batter life issue after the update I heard. Mary

Yeah I've done the factory reset about 6 times since I've updated it
