LG Motion question

I was in Los Gatos CA 95030 last week and my phone went from 0 bars into Emergency Mode. On another instance it said "Roaming" . My PRL is updated to the latest and my phone is set on Metro Only. What could be happening? I have the latest software. It did not happen in other places. But in one place it would show 2-3 bars but I still was able to make calls. The signal strength keeps fluctuating.

Is this due to the Merger or is it my phone? I did get the 4G and internet but when I tried to call it would not go through.

What should I do? Do I need a new phone to be compatible with the new T Mobile? Will my phone work after 2015 as its LTE?

Not sure what your issue is in that area but there may be something going on with that particular tower. Have you been able to use it normally in that area in the past?
No you will NOT be able to use your Motion after 2015 as it is a CDMA device and will not work after the CDMA network is turned off.

is it only in that area or is it doing it everywhere?

From what I read, that may depend on if the phone has native VOLTE support.

even after the cdma shutdown VOLTE will continue to work for those phones that support it.

I believe the Motion does have VOLTE support, but post-merger I'd doubt that it will ever be implemented. If they were going to do so it probably would have happened by now.
