Help LG Optimus black p970 pattern locked

hi i have a problem, bought a LG Optimus Black p970, but it turned out that the pattern is locked and I can not get hold of them I bought it off

Can anyone help me on how I can get it unlocked
because it can not be reset via buttons like most others,

any idea about what I can do?

If you are talking about a screen lock password, then after a fixed number of incorrect entries your device should prompt you for the password for the gmail account the phone is registered to. If that doesn't work, shut off the device, log into the gmail account on a website and change the password using Google's Password Recovery.

Once the new password is confirmed, turn on the device and try using the new password. The above does rely on you having either 3G or WIFI enabled on your device, and if it's not, the only other solution would be a full factory reset!

Since the op stated that they bought the phone from someone else, and cannot get a hold of them again, they would certainly not know their google password. The only option is a factory reset.
