Help LG Optimus Exceed 2 (VS450PP) Bricked!

I just received mine today, Firmware version is VS450PP2. Would I be able to install custom recovery and flash Nandroid backups? I'm root already (for rooting this version, check: https://www.reddit.com/r/perktv/comments/3xac54/rooting_exceed_2_vs450pp2_with_towelroot/ )
You can try the recovery here:

It's a simple install via an apk. Should you somehow brick, flash the kdz as described earlier in this thread. Not tested myself as I haven't updated to PP2 on any of mine yet. Too little free time :(

Thanks for replying. I wouldn't really like risking it without making a backup of my stock rom first xD

But in case I decide to try that app to flash recovery and something goes wrong, isn't there 'an official way' to restore my phone?
By 'official way' I mean, for example, entering download mode and flashing the stock firmware/rom directly from LG. This is one method I used with an old LG Windows Phone 4.5, so I was wondering if a similar option was available for the Exceed Optimus 2 since the restoration options without recovery are uncertain for PP2.

See my post (#6) in this thread and you can always factory flash PP1 if things go wrong. There's a PP2 KDZ available, but can't seem to find the link at the moment and am working until 6 am. I'm sure you can find it right here in these forums.

Does anyone have a good link to the KDZ file? I get "file not found" when trying to download it tonight.

I've had time to read through the thread as i was waiting for this file to download on my Chrome Browser. I just want to make sure everyone knows to download with Chrome, right click or long press link and select open in a new page/tab?

The link doesn't work, even for right clicking, or opening up in a new tab. Have you tried?

Yes, I just finished. I'm on a laptop, I don't know if that makes a difference.

I just tried firefox and chrome, no luck. Do you use Dropbox, Box, or Google Drive where you could share the file? Could you send me a link via PM?

what is the exact link URL you are using?

See if that works. It's from the top post. This is the entire link though. I accidentally tapped it first and downloaded the whole thing again. If it doesn't work let me know and I'll put the whole thing on my Drive and try to link you that way.

Thanks @Sam11i
However, I have finally solved the mystery. Not sure why, but I tried the link with my Samsung S4, Not Found. Tried the link with my laptop, instant download, my Nexus 7 (2013), instant download, HTC Desire 510, instant download, LG VS450PP, instant download. So just for poops and giggles I tried my Samsung SII,.... NOT Found. It seems Samsung and LG don't jive. I'm all out of OEMs. Anybody else want to try? I'm intrigued.

Oh yeah. I now have a surplus of stock firmware!:D

I used the LG Mobile Support Tool to restore my VS450pp
Download it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1621531

You phone has to be in Firmware update state, pressing UP-VOL and POWER
However this App detected my phone as LGMS323

I went into Options and Upgrade Recovery and it did everything for me, Downloaded the kdz file from LG and Installed it to the phone, with no other keys pressed

Look for KDZ_FW_UPD_ENG.ZIP

I tried LG Flash Tool 2014 and the LGFlashTool with Megalock.dll, with no results....

Ok i have the same problem. I cannot boot into recovery and the only thing it will do if give me a secure boot error. I have tried and tried to get the firmware file but apparently the file is gone now. There is a newer version but it gove me a 404 not found error too. I have all the tools installed. I just need the kdz file and i should be able to fix my phone. I have another working vs450pp could i extract it from that somehow?

I'm so busy that I haven't time to truly investigate this myself, but here's a link that might resurrect your device.
