lg optimus g e975 Help...

Hello Everybody!

I am using lg optimus g e975, LG Electronics Inc. / Korea. Android 4.1.2, its working absolutely fine. i want to ask that should i upgrade it to higher android version or not??? i mean if i upgrade it to any other android version it will be fine for me or bugs? once i try to upgrade it through "LGMobile Supported Tools" it says upgrade available for your mobile but its take too much time to upgrade established time remaining almost 5-6 hours. i had Electricity problem i don't have electricity continuously 5-6 hours, and after power cut all the progress goes to nil, there is no resume in this upgrade procedure. how can i upgrade my lg optimus g e975 officially without any bugs.. i know there is many unofficial methods to update it but i don't want to take risk. please suggest me some quick method or valid method. Thanks

You have to be able to download the upgrade. If it takes 5-6 hours and you don't have electricity for that long, you're going to need to power the phone from a car or other 12 volt source. Updating on the battery alone, if the battery dies during the update, could cause the phone to stop working permanently (or until someone repairs it for you).

i have an e 970. I don't know anything about lg's upgrade services, but if you want to try and update to a custom rom, you could try the following. it is what i did, and i was up and running a 4.4 kitkat rom within maybe 30 minutes.

it does require rooting the device, so if that is not something you care to venture, just ignore this.

root:
[ROOT] Framaroot, a one-click apk to root some devices - xda-developers

then, unlock bootloader and install a custom recovery with a simple app available at the play store.

then it is a matter of finding a custom rom, loading the zip file, booting into recovery, and installing the zip file.

can't do it. don't have an e 975 as i said. but the tools provided will work for you.

cyanogenmod, cm 11, which is kitkat based, works just fine on my e970. haven't found a bug yet.

try the latest snapshot rom here. doubt you would regret it.

i cant updated through lgmobile tools ita giving error reconnect your phone pull the battery out and insert again and then try but again and again this message came...
