Help LG Optimus L5 II Boot loop

NickMmm

Lurker
My friend has an LG Optimus L5 II and it's stuck in a boot loop (Not really a loop, just hangs indefinitely at the lg logo but it's still animated so it hasn't crashed). I was going to try and get it into fastboot/recovery mode but adb doesn't seem to be working while it's in the boot loop. I've tried adb-devices and it says no devices found. I then tried mtp-detect and got this:
"mtp-detect
Unable to open ~/.mtpz-data for reading, MTPZ disabled.libmtp version: 1.1.6

Listing raw device(s)

anyone have any ideas what I could do?
