LG OPtimus L9 specs

I read that the L9 is not LTE.Does that mean that is 3G but not 4G?Thanks

You're right in that the phone does not have LTE capabilities. I don't believe the L9 contains any LTE hardware. "4G" is thrown around a lot in the US, but we (the end-users) are usually in the dark about what our phone's hardware is really capable of.

The L9 is capable of achieving HSPA+ 21 speeds. What this means is our hardware can technically get 21 mb/s down and 5.8 mb/s up. This technology and these speeds are considered 4G.

I'm using the phone on the "MetroPCS" GSM network, which is really T-Mobile. I get anywhere from 5-13 mb/s down and 2-4 mb/s up. For me, that's plenty. I can stream music via Spotify, browse the web, and watch the occasional YouTube video (on HQ) with no problems. The data performance is reliable and consistent.

It's 4g capable.

The lte means long term evolution or something, I honestly forget. But I'm on metro and get about 16-19 Mb download speeds according to speed test.net
