Help LG Optimus S 3G Problems after ESN....how?

OK. I've been on this on and off for a month!

I got a Sprint LG Optimus S with bad ESN. I was able to repair ESN. Talk and text works. Web works. But I can only get 1x. Sometime I will see 3G. But 3G AAA authentication status from debug menu is always in pending state. I have copied NV item 465, 466, 1192 and 1194. They are from a perfectly working Hero. I did an similar experimental repair on another Hero with the same settings in the past and it worked really well. But Nooooo..not this LG!

Does anyone know how to get 3G after ESN repair? Where does Optimus S pull AAA authentication key from? I mean from which NV item? I would think 1192. EFS Explorer from QPST is no help because nfs and .efs_private folders are locked. Any idea? Thanks.
 
ESN repair? You mean cloning a good phone's ESN to your optimus?

An ESN never really "goes bad" it just will get blacklisted by the carrier for payment/account issues or theft, etc.
 
i have a sprint lg ls670 with bad esn, what are the steps you used to change or clear esn so it can be used on another sprint account?...
 
You can't read nvitems 46x or 119x (the ones with the password) but you can write to them. You need to format the nvitem's text file right or it won't work.
 
Good luck. Ive been working on getting the 3g to work for weeks. Ive figured out how to do everything else on this phone except get the 3g to work i even rooted the ls670zvd platform. If anyone figures this out please post also prvt mess me of you need help.

your problem is not with the flash to a different esn has nothing to do with that you will need a new prl file find a friend that has a prl with 3g this way you can get the correct file once you get the correct prl file you can google the prl file download it. the reason im saying get a friend locally that way you know what they use in your area :P hope that helps
