Root LG Overlay

Is there anyway to remove the LG Overlay that they slap on? I have attached a few images to show how I would like them to look... The first 2 pictures are how I would like it to look, the other 2 are how they look now (as you know). I was going through SystemUI.apk and notice the pictures of the USB android ARE there...
