Root LG Realm (LS620) Stock ROMs: Deodexed & Unmodified

The new one in hroark13's TWRP thread?
Use his new TWRP 2.8.6.0
The 2.8.5.0 will work, as that is what I used to unbrick mine. Use the method hroark13 described to get into recovery. You might want to read my most recent reply in that thread, as it is directed more towards the Realm. If you're gonna flash bcrichster's ROM, be sure to wipe Dalvik and cache prior to the flash. Once into the OS, install hroark13's TWRP. He fixed a lot of things and it works perfectly on the Realm in addition to the Exceed 2. Just a few little differences in what you see upon booting into recovery. Works the same once in...

I can get into recovery with twrp by pressing the power and volume down and hold it until it flashes the recovery menu. I tried clearing all cache prior to the flash and it still fails with the same executing message. I also downloaded the LgRealm_Unmodified_metadata.zip and that one also fails.

If I need to be using twrp 2.8.6.0 how do I update it? I currently have no rom to boot into.

Thanks for the help.

I removed those since they weren't compatible with the newer TWRP. I reposted a stock deodexed/debloated ROM that works with hroark13's new TWRP 2.8.6.0

I noticed in an earlier post that father guido provided you with a stock rom?
Any chance I can get a copy of that one? If you flashed it when twrp was still on 2.8.5.0 maybe that one will work for me.

If you just need to get back into stock, I just put a TWRP backup of the (close as possible) stock /system & /boot up. Grab the TWRP_Stock_NoData_KOT49I.LS620ZV3.zip from here. Unzip it into your TWRP/BACKUPS/xxdevice-id/ folder of your extSDCard and restore it. That should at least get you back into the OS to start afresh.

Thank you Father Guido, this one worked and now I'm back up and running. I will go ahead and update the twrp to the latest version and then try the rom that was put up here to check if it will now load.

Great to hear that it worked out!

With twrp 2.8.6.0 now installed, the deodexed and debloated rom now works. Thank you.
Assuming you are actually using this as a phone (i.e. active with Boost or whoever) would you like to participate in a little more aggressive debloating/testing? I cut quite a bit more from bcrichster's ROM, but I use this on WiFi only, so I cannot be sure that I didn't break anything important required by the carrier. Pretty sure I haven't (yet) but need others to test/verify.

I'm afraid I'm not educated enough to help you.. Sorry. Hope you get it figured out
I'm pretty sure that you cannot access fastboot unless zeroing out the laf partition. IOW, if that is done and the laf partition isn't restored, download mode is gone. I have limited knowledge of this, but from the description (and little detail of what was done prior) I can only assume that this is the case. Unsure if there is a remedy for this.

You really need to provide more detail.

Will the phone boot to the OS, or are you just trying to get to recovery? What "exactly" have you done to the device to get this? I did a quick google search of your symptoms and apparently you are "IN" fastboot mode. Start reading here. It appears that you zeroed out your laf, perhaps by running a script for a different device?

Unsure why you want to be there unless trying to unlock the bootloader (which cannot be done on this device). If you can get into the OS and are rooted, you can dd your laf partition back to the phone, which restores download mode. Method is described a page or 2 from the link provided.

what happens the following, I wanted to install ClockworkMod recovery and in .img format download and install flash tool with rashr then the phone will reboot and does not pass the logo

Unless your issue is related to the ROM topic, then you are asking for help in the wrong thread. Look for help where you got the CWM recovery, or Google search until you find an answer.

That said, I'm not familiar with rashr, but I believe it is used to flash images (sort of like Flasify?). So, if you can get to the OS, use it to flash a stock /boot and /recovery.img and start afresh. I have posted links to these images in these forums, but if you can't find them I'll (re)post the link(s).

Getting download mode back isn't really an issue at this point as there is no factory .KDZ image available for this anywhere that I can find anyway. Sorry to be of so little help, but seek and ye shall find. It may not be what you want to hear, but at least you will know...
