Lurker
hey does anyone know anything about the rumor five form lg? A guy in my band came up to me and said that someone had bought him an android phone on hsn, and he wanted to "root" it and unlock it for his carrier. As you can already guess by where I'm posting this, it's not android, its one of those cheap feature phones, that trick non-smart phone users into thinking it's a smart phone. The guy is pretty cool older dude, so I dont want to upset him by telling him it's not as good as he thinks it is, since he's perfectly happy with it as is, and only wants to "root" it to swicth to use his carrier. I got some data off the phone with bitpim, which I havent had to use since like 2006, sot it's a serial interface of some kind. does anyone know how to unlock this phone? I'm pretty sure I did stuff like this back in college, but thats been awhile back.
