I tried Powering On the phone, it goes through the LG and Telus startup screens and gets to the Android screen and just sits there. Seems like I am experiencing the ultimate screen lockup.
It would not allow me to do a hard reset even after I had removed the battery several times. So with phone in hand I headed off to my local Telus store where I contacted support on the phone in the store. I calmly explained to three different people from Telus plus the sales rep in the store that I had been experiencing problems with the phone ever since updating to Android 2.3.3. At first they wanted to charge me for any service as my phone has been out of warranty just under two months but I convinced them that these problems were the cause of a bad update and not any fault of mine. One and a half hours later I walked out with a new LG Shine Plus running Android 2.1 and software version LG-C710h-V10d. I will keep the phone at 2.1 until LG can get their Android 2.3.3 update problems straightened out.
I would strongly recommend to my fellow LG Shine Plus owners that if you are experiencing any problems after updating to Android 2.3.3 that you get them taken care of prior to your warranty expiring.
Thanks for all the support and recommendations.
