Guys I had a droid x and the headset volume was good.....but the spectrum is much lower....tried volume boost and others.....is there something else...is anyone else struggling? Thanks rooted and a noob

There is an app called volume+. Try it and see if that helps. With that app you can boost headphone, speaker and Bluetooth volume
1. I tried a crap load of headphones ranging in price $15 to $80 and 'ALL' of them were junk! I now am "HAPPY AS HELL" with these http://www.amazon.com/Beats-Tour--Ear-Headphone-Monster/dp/B002EL4RI4/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1342554275&sr=1-8&keywords=beats+by+dre+headphone. I bough them at Best Buy w/a $20 2 year replacement plan. Total cost was $184 and worth every penny!
2. Next go to Google Play & DL Winamp. Next purchase Winamp Pro and DL. Now start Winamp and hit menu on your phone...select more...equalizer...presets...load...laptop speakers/headphones...move the pre amp setting from +0db to +12db...now move the 2nd from the left bandwidth (mid/low range bass) to a higher setting...select presets again...select save and save a name to your new custom EQ setting. Now hit the Winamp lightning bolt on the bottom right...hit menu...settings...check Control headset...now on the very bottom select Replay Gain...now check (select) Prevent clipping (this prevents distortion w/can blow your drivers)...now select Adjust all songs and set it to +12db.
Now get ready for a drastic improvement in your Spec's sound...:smokingsomb:
