Root LG Spectrum OC

Hope I'm no it stating the obvious here but when I foot my lg spectrum I noticed that Verizon sent it clocked at 1080 MHz when they state that its running at 1.5ghz. The easy way to fix this is to root your phone and get the setcpu app and you can make the phone run at its top speed instead of having it run at the lower set speed Verizon has out set to. Hope this helps someone looking too speed up their phone :-)

Thanks for the info. Do you have a link to the root procedure?
I just ordered my Spectrum on Wednesday and hope to get it in this weekend.
I had a real hard choice between this and the Rezound but opted for the larger screen. I hope I won't be disappointed.
I have noticed a sore lack of posts on this forum. Are there just not that many people that have ordered this phone? :(

I will post a root how to here shortly for you, I have to look up the steps again. I've had my phone for a week and a half now and I think its a great phone, I'm thinking there arnt to many forums on it yet because its a new phone and has only had root for a couple weeks just give it some time. I'm also working on deodexing stock rom and will be attempting to make a custom recovery for it as well. I will post a root how to and a link to files that are needed to do it later on tonight.

My phone came in last night. Looks pretty good so far. Beautiful screen. Haven't check the cpu speed yet but will be looking for the root procedure whenever you get it posted.
Thanks for your help.

I checked my phone that I got yesterday. It is clocked at 1518mHz.
Had a 6782 Antutu score which sadly wipped my little Dinc2.
This thing is REALLY quick and smooth.

Fwiw, I rooted and found the phone comes with the conservative governor, which I applied. Pretty nice surprise to see it preinstalled, since the moto phones don't have it.
