LG Spectrum on Verizon - Solid?

My other favorite button trick that I didn't realize for the first few days (and I could be the only idiot that didn't know this lol) was that long press menu button brought up search!

I use that one all the time (makes people think I'm smart at parties when someone asks me something and I excuse myself to go find the answer and then recite it like I've known it my whole life). ;)

I hate that shortcut! On my HTC Evo a long press of the menu button brings up or takes down the soft keyboard, I use that 10+ times a day, especially on websites.

Anyone know how to change it? (fyi I use Swype, even though it sucks these last 12 months with guessing what words I am trying to type it us still faster than pecking. I might switch to flex t9, I picked that up as a FAOTD some time back. And I use hackers Kb depending on what I need, as a full 5 row qwerty is handing from time to time)

Ahh so it does. I wonder why I thought it was a 1.2? I thought the spectrum was the only 1.5,but I guess not.

Sent from my VS920 4G using Tapatalk 2 Beta-3

I think the Verizon sign shows 1.2Ghz in the store, because I went with the spectrum over it because of the clock speed

I've been searching for how to change the hard buttons in the code. I've found the code for the home and the back key, but cannot find anything for the menu key (granted, I only started really looking a couple of days ago).

In CWM Recovery(advanced options), there is an option to show what code is used to each key that you press. This should help you in re-mapping keys via software.
