Is it possible to use this phone with another carrier with all functions wprking? Im so sick of metros shitty service reception but love this phone

Only other carrier it can possibly go to with everything working is Cricket but to me they worse than Metro

They don't lock CDMA phones and you can simply go in the hidden menu to unlock the UICC slot and try to get LTE

How do I get to this hidden menu and I thought these pho es were already 4g LTE?? If I do this unlock you speak of, is it gunna help my reception speed?

Ill rephrase, its set up for metro pcs, hows that? make you happy? :p

I just realized I didn't put the "tongue" joking face oops.:pound:

http://androidforums.com/lg-spirit-4g/689530-how-access-hidden-menu-turn-4g-off.html and no if you unlock it that would just be your only way of getting 4G if you went to Cricket but Cricket serves very limited areas anyway

So once I get into this menu, then what so I do?? Im only getting half instructions here and I dont understand why Im not getting 4g right now on a supposebly 4g phone... If that was the case, how come no one else has posted about this and made all their phones faster?

Go here. I know it says for the Motion. Just trust me.

Go to post 19. Use those two codes then do what it says in post 23.

That is doing a network reset. If you've Ever seen 4G on your phone and it's available where you are, you should have it after the phone reboots from this. If you've never seen 4G on your phone and you're in a 4G area, most likely your Sim card isn't activated. The best way to do that is via the chat window from your account on Metro.com or after leaving a private message at Metro's faceplant with you Last name and last four of your phone number.

Let us know back here if it fixed it please.

I see 4g on my phone, thats not the problem. just the 4g is slow as hell abd sucks balls

Im in victorville, cali aka the high desert

sounds dry....:smokingsomb:

from metro's coverage map, that area doesn't have strong 4g. Maybe once metro is on t mobile's network the coverage will get better.

you could always do what I've suggested to others... wrap your self in tinfoil clime on the roof holding an umbrella........:D:p;) oh oh and don't forget to stand on one leg..

You should try and be more clear in exactly what your problem IS if you want help for it.

You SAID "I am not getting 4G on a 4G phone"...

You are getting your half answers 'cause you are asking half questions.

I gave you instructions on what you asked for which was in switching carriers with everything working.

If you read my post, I not once said I was not getting 4g, I said the service sucks. Only time I said or referred to not getting 4g was when you told me to go i to the hidden menu, and all I said was I didnt understand why Im not getting 4g on supposebly a 4g phone, and that was referring to you telling me to go into the menu and turn it on. I am getting it, it just ****** sucks and doesnt feel like 4g speeds, or any speeds at that. If you read above too, I state "I already thought these phobes were 4gLTE"

Actually that is EXACTLY what you said. I've even DIRECTLY QUOTED WHAT YOU SAID TO YOU ALREADY. But, I'll try it a SECOND time and see if you can see it. Here. Are. Your. Exact. Words. Your OWN exact words. Please note the bold print.

It's pretty damn bad when you can't even figure out what came out of your own mouth/fingers.

Good luck with your "problem", I'll admit it's WAY ABOVE my (small amount of) expertise... Good luck with your phone too. ;)
