Root Lg support tool (kdz flash) HELP

Im trying for the life of me to update to metro pcs v10d manually. No matter what I've tried nothing works. I've installed the latest drivers, I've installed the drivers from each pc connection option, usb debugging on, connected to s/w upgrade mode installed those drivers, ran as administrator, used diag mode and emergency mode, but every time it still says phone not found. How in the frick do I get the damn thing to recognize my phone? I've never encountered this problem when I had my motion.
 
Have you tryed downloading the up date then changing it to a zip file then flashing it via clockwork mod?
 
oh my bad i didn't know that I haven't had to use a kdz file since early 2013 when I had to deal with a morning call error on my motion. Im not new to this but i dont know terminology well because I just started using computers in 2010 and I havnt taken any kind of programing class ever plus none of my friends (2) who know this stuff have the time to teach me this. I was just trying to help. please don't take my post offensively. I still cant figure out the security error crap but even if i get incorrect help from someone im grateful people are willing to try. n e ways good luck although you already handled it.
