Help LG Thrill 4G on t-mobile -3G or 4G possible?

I got an LG thrill 4G and I unlocked it, and I use it on my T-Mobile account. I currently only get 2G speeds, but I read on some other forums that it's possible to get 3g or even 4g speeds on this phone with some sort of "baseband".

Any ideas?

I'm having this problem too is there a fix for this?!!!!
