I have a passcode set up on my phone, but my phone never asks for the passcode. When I swipe the screen it just unlocks.

Help Lg v60 lock screen

the pin code might be setup, but are you sure you select it for use as the lockscreen?

It works in safe mode, but when I take it from safe mode it only asks for my pin 1 time then doesn't require me to put in my pin code anymore.
so that means that an app is preventing this. do you have a custom lockscreen? or launcher?

Everything is stock, just got the phone last week. Everything was fine until today.

now i can't even use my internet on my phone. I am on my desktop right now.

Also, if I leave my phone locked for about 2 minutes it will ask for pass code. But if I unlock it then lock it immediately and try to unlock it again it doesn't ask for pass code
since you just got it, try a factory reset and start over

that is what i did, It seems to be working good right now. I downloaded different texting apps and maybe something piggybacked off of those.
ok cool. keep us posted if the issue returns again.
