Help LG Volt in Boot Loop

Porrie17

Lurker
My unrooted LG Volt (AKA my little piece of crap) has entered the loop of death. I woke up this morning and tried to turn it on because it was blinking (indicating that an email had come through) but the screen was unresponsive. So I just decided to do a soft reset... bad move I guess. Because now it'll flash the LG logo, the Boost logo, and then Boost logo will just keep looping over and over AND OVER AGAIN.

I've tried a battery pull, I've tried draining it and charging it halfway then turning it back on, hell I've even worked up the courage to do a factory reset but even that would. Not. Work. I'm at my wit's end. Can someone please help me out? :(

Thanks guys!

If you can get into download mode you can try reflashing stock software, which will require a PC.

Follow the depreciated method VERY CAREFULLY through step 4.
If that doesn't work, send it in. Without custom recovery there's nothing else you can try at this point.
Got up to the point where I have to run LG Flash Tool, and an error message that says "LG USB/Parallel Lock Key is not detected!!" pops up. I click OK and it takes me to a login screen. I followed everything exactly -- what might have I missed?

I figured out that I needed to replace the MegaLock.dll with the one that was downloaded. So I was able to get to the point where I click the yellow arrow to start the process. However, once it's finished, I unplug the cable from the computer, plug it back in... and nothing happens.

Try hitting the arrow again? You sure you set the com port and your phone is in download mode?

Also, you can stop after step three, let it update itself, then use one if the top methods to root if you want.
