Help LG vortex android problems

I just found out I could use WIFI on my phone, almost everywhere I go there is an available wireless connection,(My house, Work, Girlfriend's house, ETC.)
But since I was going to the android market before I new that took internet, and before I new my phone had wifi, my data went up to 149.7 out of 150.0, My phone was in my pocket today and I pulled it out and it was in the browser..... that shot my data up to 150.5. How do i make sure this never happens again?

I'm sure other people will be able to suggest other things, but my first thoughts would be to make sure your phone is locked before you put it in your pocket and if you're still having issues, maybe move your browser and whatever else is going to use your data off the main homepage onto one of the other pages.

Beats me, but good luck with that. maybe is something to do with your usb debugging if your phone has that.

Well said Sweet Chaos. That's my thought too. Any icon on home screen can be opened if you put the phone in pocket before it goes standby locked.
SammiSabbat, welcome to world of android phone.

How about disabling data. If you go to Settings, Wireless and Network Settings, Mobile Networks and then disable Data Enabled, it will shut off 3G. Unfortunately I don't have wifi at work but it does appear to keep wifi active.
