Root LG730ZV8 need help rooting :(

So I had root on V5 then lost it after upgrading to V8 and ever since I've been waiting for someone to come up with a way to root V8 but I don't think anyone has? If there is can somebody tell me how? Please I've been waiting for a long time

Don't know if there is anything new but you could follow instructions for downgrade here in this forum then follow instructions for retaining root through upgrade. Just a suggestion and sounds like a PITA.

Here's a much easier way to root some LG phones running jellybean. Worked on my buddies Venice and my optimus l9. Hope this helps!

All credit belongs to jcase on xda. I just happened to try it on the Venice with success and thought I'd post the results to help out. Lots of development efforts continue on the LG L9 p769 and if there is anything that will transfer to the Venice I'll be glad to share again..
Perhaps a 2nd init recovery is possible, no telling about unlocking the bootloader, LG phones are complicated basties, but we are trying!

guys i need help, my venice came with LG730ZV6 and i recently upgraded to v8, i tried this and it didnt work for me, any advice ? oh and just so you guys know my phone hasn't been rooted, i dont know if it had to be rooted before for this to work.
