Thanks to this forum I have rooted, tethered and hooked up my Optimus Q.

Only snag I hit was the drivers....only worked after using the LG driver tool...which is about as obtuse a tool ever...

Choose the box to install USB driver...pick Tracfone, then your q.

I uninstalled the failed installations in device manager and reconnected, then ran the esteem batch file.

I'd suppose that one could skip the installs in the drivers link but I have not tested...noticed the tool 'upgraded' my driver.

Tested with ipod ipod touch and desktop..desktop loaded a..albiet lower vid quality..Netflix movie (Office Space...lol) in about 2minutes...shut off tether and played for 45 seconds more at least.
