any chance you know how to bypass the secure device but insecure img issue with lgup?
I have a system.img you can flash in fastboot, i can upload it if you think it'll help
if you wish, but is there a way to get to fastboot, when the phone is bricked? also this happened to a normal ota update, does this phone need to be unlocked? fastboot wont work if it has a locked bootloader, since i cant go into the system to unlock it
do you have a link to the dll? i tried the common but get a insecure img but secure device error
To get to fastboot from a powered off state:
you still have that system img?

I tried that, it fails. I'm in the middle of downloading the IMG you gave me, haven't tried it yet but this phone is still bootloader locked and since I can't get into android there is no possibility of unlocking it. Is your system.img still signed? The only chance is if fastboot will allow signed imgs to pass
It should be, its extracted straight from the kdz i posted earlier.

Lgup ws saying it was insecure, idk it's my last shot nothing else I can do
You could possibly contact lg and ask them to reflash the phone. They might charge tho, not sure
It's not my phone, if I can't fix it today they are just going to go through MetroPCS, already contacted customer support to get the files needed for lgup, got the response that they don't make the software which is bs
get a error on filesize when I try to flash via fastboot
