Root LGoneclickroot and 5.1 Update

To make a long story short, DON'T use the current LG OneClick Root method to root your device if you have gotten the latest (as of 7-1-15) update. I took my LG Stylo back to Best Buy and swapped it and updated to the latest system software. Worked great, phone was a lot snappier, very responsive and a few cool interface changes as well. Sooooo, I figured now I can root. NOT!!!! Would not boot past LG logo. Tried all the diff ways, batt. pull, ect. I was able to boot into stock recovery, but to no avail. None of the options in there helped either. I was able to look at the recovery logs but I'm no Dev so it was useless to me. I guess I'm waiting til we get a custom recovery. I'm going back to my Volt for now. If I can't root I just as soon wait.

try downloading the kdz file for your stylo. there is a thread here on it that may help you alot

Had the same thing happen to me thank God i was with in the week to bring it back so i was good. Now im relucted to root and i was on the 5.1 also
