Help LGP990 can't pick up mobile network

Hi all

I'm not a techie so here goes. I've got an LG P990. It was working fine but suddenly it won't pick up my mobile network (Orange) or do wifi. The sim works in other handsets so it can't be that. Tried plugging it into the computer to reboot etc but no joy.

Is there any reason it would just stop working like that? Is it a common problem with a simple solution or am I looking at an expensive repair bill/new phone here?

Backup your stuff and try a factory restore if on stock ROM, or reflash your current rom if you're on a custom rom.

If all else fails, you can try to flash a rom such as CM7 (based on stock droid) or Topigigi 2.0 (based on LG).
