Library Sends Police to Collect Overdue Books From5-Year-Old

I believe for mine, there's a limit for overdue charges before I can't borrow books, lol. My library is pretty good with notification. I get phone calls the day it's due. Email notifications if it's late. If I can't return it, I'll renew it a few times (up to 3). If the book is almost due and it's on its 3rd renewal, I get another email notification saying that my book is going to be due soon and I won't be able to renew it, lol. You might want to check if your library has your correct email and phone number in their system.

It's just address here and yes they have the right address because I have had letters from them in the past and this is actually the only address I've ever been at with them. They've just NOT contacted me, and the thing is obviously I was unaware of any problem and so the time has gone on. By the time I became aware of the problem I was unable to explain. If they'd contacted me sooner I might have remembered that I had let a child take the books out and take them home or something like that. But it was a good 6 months or longer before I became aware of the problem and so that was my arguement. I had not been notified and didn't actually recognise any of the titles and also previous to this I've had them send me a bill for an outstanding book which I havei chased up, and they've sent the letter by mistake the book had been returned to the self service thing well within the time and they've just not knocked it off my account. So there was no way I was going to pay this bill when I don't even know if its right.

:/ Your library needs to be modernized...at least have your number as well. Snail mails are so.....1900 , lol. But yeah, I totally understand where you're coming from. I would suggest that you get library cards for your kids ;) That will teach them to take responsibilities for anything they borrow from the library.
