Help Light bleed?

So I just got a replacement phone as mine randomly flipped between charging and discharging regardless of whether or not there was a cable hooked up.

I have some weird lighter colored streaks from just below the power button going up and to the left at about 45 degrees.

They're pretty faint, but they're obnoxious once you notice them. Anyone have experience with this and/or know if VZW will consider it a problem or if I just have to live with it?

It's more obvious on lighter colored screens than darker... also I'm getting the impression that all my colors are just more grey/purple than they were on my old phone.

Bum display? I'm annoyed.

Ok I unboxed the old and lit them up side by side. I'm on crack about the purplish tint... but those lines are there.

Edit: After tinkering more I see I have the purple screen/banding problem. Guess I'll try to get it replaced yet again. What a PITA, where's the quality control on these things.

Unfortunately these are just issues of AMOLED screens - banding and a colour tint. I reckon they could solve the colour tinting by having some sort of set up in the factory using a camera and a computer to automatically adjust the software tinting for each phone to compensate for the hue of AMOLED displays. But at the moment, it is something you have to accept if you want any of Samsung's latest phones.

I don't think that's true. This was my 3rd phone (lost the first 2 due to charging issues), and neither of them had any problems.

4th one is in the mail, I'll get it tomorrow and see how it shakes out.

Compare your phone to an LCD and you'll see what I mean. I thought the same way until I got my Transformer Infinity.
