So my HOX cannot handle low light photography, check the attachment you'll see why. Does this happen to your HOX? I didn't have such problem with my old 4S.

I feel like the lens inside the camera is either dirty or wasn't aligned correctly

Thoughts? :-)

p/s not really sure the term for this, let me know if you know

Same sort of thing with me when I was at gigs recently I have had issues with low light just like that...

Yeah, that doesn't look normal. It's not fantastic in low light, but I've certainly never had mine do that.

Has it always been that way?

Yup, it has, I find it really annoying. I attached some more photos below, you can see that all of them have this problem. Ruin all the low light photos :'(

Everyone please take some low light photo with your HOX and post them up so I can compare and perhaps use them to complain to HTC? ;)

Thanks

I'll have a mess about tonight. I'm using an AOSP ROM so my results might be slightly different though.

IMO it looks like a hardware problem, not sure if it will be fixed with another ROM. Please do post your photos up though

From what i was able to experiment with the S2 and the HOX at night, it seems that both have this lens flare effect because of low light conditions. I would say it is normal.
