Light Meter App

[andyandroid81891]

Hey guys I do a lot of photography and use a hand held light meter. I'm wondering if any of you know of an application that turns your phone into a light meter. I image it is possible because the phones camera must have some sort of light measuring capabilities. Is this something that exists? Something that could exist? Anyone interested in making it if it doesnt exist?

Your phone would require a MUCH more sensitive and sophisticated light sensor than the basic light sensitive diode it's got.
So even if someone could write the software, phones don't have the prerequisite hardware.

Have you searched Appbrain at all? I'd imagine that apps like this would be of limited use without a better light sensor.
