Help Light Sensor?

Is it true that the Samsung S3 Mini doesn't have a light sensor? If it doesn't have a light sensor why does it have an auto-brightness function?

Thanks

So it doesn't!!!

Many thanks.

What I did find odd was that when searching for the Lux app via the Play Store app on the S3 Mini nothing came up, however when I searched again using the Play Store app on my S3 for the Lux app Play Store displayed it.

Are we to assume then that if, like the S3 Mini, your phone doesn't have certain functions such as an auto-brightness function the Play Store app "knows" this and won't display any apps that involve the use of the auto-brightness function?

Yes. The Playstore has a database of phone models and knows what apps the phone can support. That's why when you go to the PlayStore on your PC, it knows your phone's model number even if you did not send it. Your S3 mini will appear as i8190, while the S3 will be i9300.
