Help Lighting problems

before i upgrade to ics 4.0.3 i could change the Lighting by slide my finger on the status bar and it was change
can anyone tell me how to do this on this version (ics 4.0.3)

It still works exactly the same in ICS.

Check you don't have auto brightness on. If you do (or it activated itself when you upgraded) the notification bar won't adjust it. To turn it off just go into display in settings and uncheck it. If its already off then maybe a factory reset would help, although that's a bit drastic just to change the screen brightness more easily.
