Help Lights on bottom staying on

Hey, sometimes when I hit my power/standby button on the top to turn the display off when I wanna put the phone down, sometimes the four leds, for; back, menu, home and search, stay lit up. Until I hit the standby button again to turn on the display.

...if you root, you can download LEDs Hack and turn them off that way. I know that's not the answer you're looking for but that's all I got.
