Lightweight GPS Navigation app?

Hi!

I own a Samsung S5690 Galaxy Xcover with OS Gingerbread 2.3.6.
It's a rather old smartphone without any impressive specs but I kind of like it. I'm looking for a navigation app and after several disappointing and failed attempts of finding the right one I'm asking for your suggestions.

What I would need:
- detailed and 100% offline maps, turn by turn navigation, reasonable UI. In one word: a perfectly usable GPS navigation app;
- it has to be as lightweight as possible because my phone has very poor RAM and CPU. Most of the new apps I've tried has frozen or failed to even install;
- I don't mind if it's free but this is not exclusionary.

Thank you!

Welcome to Android Forums :)

To save us both some time, could you let us know what navigation apps you have tried and not cared for? That way I don't waste the effort of suggesting things you've already tried. :thumbsupdroid:

I would suggest CoPilot. I've been using CoPilot USA on my Samsung Galaxy Player running the same 2.3.6 OS for roughly 2 years with no issues, and I use it a great deal daily. I can't tell you how light it is compared to others, but it works fine for me. I can tell you I don't have my device loaded with apps because I rely on this device for my serious daily work. It's limited to an organizer, and a GPS, occasionally a music player. That's it. Reliability is important, and it has been that.
